What a day of discovery, we just had to share it with you! We had some fabulous hands on opportunities today to explore differences, growth and change. Our farming family brought us some chicks to see, supporting understanding of life cycles from egg to chicken. Then we made banana cakes for our afternoon snack, using tools for purpose and observing changes, plus eating our efforts. Delicious 😋 And remember our strawberry plants? Well, we were able to take our first pickings 🍓 Again learning where our food comes from, how it grows or is produced, sharing knowledge from home and feeling wonder in the world around us 🥰

Today was trip day, and we can definitely recommend Manor Farm. We had a fabulous day. The children said the dinosaur trail was their favourite thing, but there was lots of talk about the animal experiences too.
We are super proud of all the children. They listened well and took in the new experiences of being out for the day with Preschool. Its a huge thing to do and they were superstars 🤩

We didn't win but feel honoured to have been finalists. Apparently there were hundreds of thousands of votes cast during the nomination process, so thank you so much for believing in us. We love what we do, the children's journey with us is the only award we need 🥰

We're preparing our children for our annual Preschool trip. We always have a social story so the children know what to expect on the day, this will be a new experience for most of our children. We prepare with songs, role play and small world play along the theme (this year there will be a dinosaur trail!) The trip itself is such a fabulous opportunity for learning and transferring skills learnt at home and Preschool 🥰😍

Springtime is great for exploring mini beasts. This year we are particularly interested in ladybirds. This has given us opportunity to explore patterns, quantity, matching, looking at characteristics, observing change. We've played imaginatively to create their homes. Learnt new songs and developed our own. We are learning through play 🥰
