Three Bears Cookery Club

What a fantastic spring butterfly workshop we had to do.
I'm so glad it was cooler today.
All the children did a great job, making vanilla cupcakes, decorating their cupcake boxes, making buttercream and decorating their cupcakes to make butterflies.

A very hot night in the Derby Uni campus kitchen last night. But all the students that attended made delicious carrot cake muffins. 😋

📣 Calling all Budding Bakers 📣

I'm running a Cookery Workshop in the May half term on Wednesday 27th, Hilton Village Hall,10.45-12.30.
Ages 3-12, under 8's must be accompanied by an adult.
We'll be making 6 delicious butterfly cakes as in the picture, also in price, a light snack and drinks, and a goodie bag.

After school cookery classes, or maybe I should say singing cookery classes. They were all very tuneful on Wednesday, anything from Jurassic Park to take that.

In the midst of the singing they all made savoury scones, with the secret ingredient of beetroot.
Beetroot can improve blood flow, lower blood pressure and is packed full of lots of vitamins.

Tuesday nights at Derby Uni, the Students cooked up a vegetable risotto.
Many had never tried risotto before, and really enjoyed the outcome.
Lots of peeling, chopping, grating and stirring.

Much excitement in our after school clubs this week.
The children were making Cornflake cookies.
After making the dough, the children had to crush the cornflakes with their hands. And then added the chocolate chips😋

Last week in our after school clubs we made Pepper Boats.
There was a lot of chopping, lots of different textures and smells.
And lots of good feedback from the parents 😊

Lots of activity at last night's cookery class at Derby Uni.
The students made an Apple Strudel, they wanted to make some to represent the Eurovision ahead of this weekend.
After a quick demo from myself, they got to work and 14 apple strudels were made. The kitchen and common room smelled divine. 😋

This week our Derby Uni Students were making Crispy Halloumi tacos with spicy slaw.
They had great fun chopping, grating and eating 😋
