Hi All
We look forward to seeing you at this afternoons classes 🤗
Our next Kyu Grading takes place on October 17th, 2026! Over the next few weeks, all classes will focus on the Grading Syllabus to give everyone the best chance to be invited.
To qualify for selection, students need to meet syllabus standards and maintain regular class attendance.
Tips to prepare:
🎯 Use your syllabus books and practice techniques at home as well as in class
💬 Talk to your instructors if you need help with any technique
🥋 Ask about booking 1-to-1 private sessions (subject to Instructor availability)

It's important to remember.... Everyone learns at their own pace & there is zero pressure to grade!
If you aren't ready this time, you will have plenty of support to get ready for the next one.
Let's make these next few weeks count! 💪
See you later

Women’s Self Defence

08/09/2026

Today we delivered an ‘Introduction to Women’s Self Defence’ in Alvaston, Derby.
With the VAWG Agenda(Violence Against Women and Girls) being a high priority in Derby and across the UK this session felt timely and essential.
We covered Awareness, Boundaries, Law and Physical Self Defence tactics.
Above all it was a space for women to come together, discuss their experiences, support each other and leave feeling more confident and prepared.
Thank you to all that attended the session. Your openness and enthusiasm was truly inspirational and has energised us to continue doing what we love 🙌🏼
Thank you to Move More Derby and Livewell for supporting and hosting the event.
