Seeing the children hang their designs to dry with such a proud feeling was incredible adding a vibrant atmosphere within the garden area at Alvaston Achievers 🧦🫟

Tie-dying is also an excellent way to engage their imaginations and teach them about colours and patterns plus, the end result is a wardrobe full of unique and vibrant socks and creating unforgettable experiences for all 🌈

🦄The unicorn ponies came to Nursery today 🦄

Pony rides are rarely just a simple lap around our nursery garden. They frequently come packed with bonus experiences that foster deep life skills, sensory fun, and core childhood memories 🐴

Hands on experience highlights how early interactions with ponies shape a child's imagination 💭

The "bonus experiences" of grooming, feeding, and bonding are the exact building blocks that turn a temporary childhood dream into a lifelong love for animals, discipline, and responsibility 🌈

Visits to Alvaston Achievers brings beneficial activities Hands-on Grooming.
Children learn to use dandy brushes, stroke the ponies, and use core muscles whilst riding the unicorn ponies 🦄

This builds fine motor skills and tactile confidence ✍🏻

We offer experiences whilst attending Alvaston Achievers to help build childhood memories that they may not experience elsewhere 🌈

When you teach and learn the children the most important life skills is the best feeling in the world 🌍

Investing in our team and children at Alvaston Achiever’s because your children’s safety always comes first along with your loved ones⛑️

First Aid training for children teaches the children and adults life-saving skills that we learn and develop not only our staff that’s paediatric first aid trained but to pass our skills and knowledge down to the children we care for 🌈

The children at Alvaston Achievers today learnt all about Fist Aid and what to do in an emergency 🚑 ☎️

Such an important skill for our children to learn and explore whilst practising skills to save a life.
Our children fully engaged with our First Aid trainer Nigel who made our session fun, knowledgeable and a feel of accomplishment we could see on the children’s faces 🌟

Today the children gained a new life skill with a certificate and lots of smiles along the way with such an important message ⛑️

🧊Painting ice cubes at Alvaston Achievers 🧊

Painting on ice builds fine motor skills, teaches colour mixing through melting, and provides soothing sensory input. It’s an open-ended activity that lets children explore science and art at the same time at Alvaston Achievers 🎨

Here are the top benefits of ice painting 🎨

Fine Motor Skills: Grasping a paintbrush or holding a frozen, colorful ice cube strengthens hand and finger muscles. These are the same muscles needed for writing ✍🏻

Sensory Exploration: Feeling the cold, smooth ice helps children explore different textures and temperatures. The cool sensation can also have a calming, soothing effect 🧊

Colour Mixing: As the ice melts, the colours blend and mingle. It is a great way to show how colours change and combine into new shades.

🧊Science Learning: Children learn about the properties of water by watching the ice melt and evaporate. They explore cause and effect by seeing how heat or a sprinkle of table salt changes the speed of the melting ice.

🧊Process-Based Art: Ice painting focuses on the fun of making art rather than the final product. This gives children the freedom to experiment without rules, which builds self-confidence 🌈
