And we are so pleased to announce our company teacher Kirsty.
Kirsty graduated from Elmhurst in 2019 and joined Orlando Ballet’s second company where she performed alongside the company in productions such as Victoria Morgan’s Cinderella and Robert
Hill’s Vampires Ball, The Nutcracker and Requiem. Kirsty then joined Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida in
2021 performing soloist and principal roles such as Consuelo in Tarde en la Siesta, The lady in Le Spectre
de la Rose, the title role in The Firebird, the lead lady in Donizetti variations, Le Vivandiere and others.
Ms Walker was the lecturer for the Arts Ballet Goes to School initiative which takes ballet demonstrations
to public primary schools to increase engagement and exposure to the arts, as well as being the lead
teacher for the Arts Ballet in Residence program, providing weekly ballet classes.
Kirsty holds a BA (Hons) in Professional Dance, a Level 6 Diploma in Professional Dance, is an
Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance (ARAD), and has completed the Russian Ballet Association’s
level 1 and 2 teaching qualifications.
Having spent six years performing professionally, Ms Walker draws on stage experience to instill
confidence, musicality, and artistry in young dancers. She strives to create a nurturing yet focused studio
environment where students feel inspired and challenged to grow both technically and artistically.
We are so incredibly lucky to have Kristy work with our students and we can’t wait to welcome her back to classes.
