An exhibition of original prints by members of Green Door Printmaking Studio. Directly translated as ‘into a likeness’, and often associated with portraiture, this body of work reflects the individual artist’s interpretation of the observational nature of line, tone and mark-making in printmaking to reflect the human face.

Derby Print Open 2026
Launch Event: Sat 30 May (11am - 4pm)
The Derby Print Open is a multi-venue Open exhibition, organised by Green Door Printmaking Studio, that showcases contemporary printmaking from artists based in the UK.

We were joined yesterday in the studio by Laura who was learning how to translate her paintings into CMYK screen prints.

All of the courses we teach are available as a one-to-one tailored experience. Get in touch if you have a project in mind that we can support with!

We were joined in the studio last week by Teresa who was learning how to create Solar Plate etchings from her photographs.

We were joined by Dawn and Ros in the studio today who were learning how to translate their drawings into prints on our Screen Printed Taster course.

The International Print Exchange is an unjuried print exchange with no assigned theme, open to all, that celebrates fine art printmaking. We invite printmakers to submit towards our 18th exchange before 31st August to take part!

Claire was in the studio yesterday getting inky and learning how to create expressive monoprints inspired by her sketches.
