❗ IMPORTANT COLOUR RUN UPDATE ❗
Due to Sports Day being postponed, we have also moved the Colour Run to the new date of 10th July.

Don't worry if you've already purchased tickets – all existing tickets remain valid and will automatically be carried over to the new date. 🌈

🫟 Good news! Because of the postponement, we are now able to reopen Colour Run ticket sales.
Tickets will be available to purchase from today until Friday 19th June at midnight.

🛑 Please note: This deadline is final. After ticket sales close, we will need to pl@ace orders for colour powder, medals, sunglasses and other event supplies, so no additional tickets will be available after this date.

Please be aware ticket confirmation emails may contain information about the children bringing in their own water pistols for the Colour Run - this is not required this year as the school staff will be doing the water squirting 😊

Refunds:
As outlined in our ticket sales Terms & Conditions, we are unfortunately unable to offer refunds for tickets. Funds from ticket sales have been allocated towards event stock and supplies. Any surplus generated from this will be treated as a donation and will go directly towards our fundraising goal.

🌈 Colour Run – Important Information🌈

🫟 On the day of the event, children who have purchased a ticket will be given a wristband with their name on by school staff before Sports Day. Only children with a wristband will be able to participate in the Colour Run. If you are on the cancellation/reserve list, please DO NOT attend unless you have been contacted and informed that a place has become available.

🫟 Anyone who attends without a ticket will unfortunately be turned away.

🫟 The Colour Run will begin at approximately 3:45 pm, allowing the PTFA time to set up after Sports Day. Families are welcome to remain on the school site; however, once the school day has ended, children will be under the supervision of their parent/carer.

What Should Children Wear?

🫟 Children should come to school wearing their PE kit for Sports Day and the Colour Run.

🫟 Please note that coloured powder will be thrown during the event and may stain clothing. The school is happy for children to get colour powder on their PE kit and T-shirt, so there is no need to worry if their clothing becomes colourful during the run!

Water Pistol Reminder

🫟 There is no need for children to bring water pistols to school, as staff will be taking care of all the water fun during the event this year! 😊💦

Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1 and Year 2)

🫟 KS1 children will run first. They will be guided to the starting area and can run around the track up to four times.

During each lap, 4 different coloured powders will be thrown. The aim is that by the end of your 4 laps, you will have all four colours visible on your T-shirt! 🌈

Key Stage 2 - Years 3, 4, 5 and 6

🫟 KS2 children will run afterwards, at approximately 4:15 pm, following the same format as KS1.

After completing the run, each child will receive a medal and a certificate.

Colour Cloud Finale

🫟 Once all participants have completed the run, children will have the opportunity to take part in a colourful Colour Cloud Celebration using any remaining powder, along with confetti cannons.

Refreshments

🫟 The PTFA will be selling drinks throughout Sports Day, and these will be available to purchase during the event.

Please note that drinks will not be available during the Colour Run itself.

Card payments only will be accepted.

Ice Cream Van

🫟 An ice cream van will be on the playground throughout Sports Day and the Colour Run, offering a selection of ice creams for purchase.

🗣️You Asked - We Listened👂

We would like to thank the parents who completed our recent Colour Run survey. While last year's event was lots of fun, we understand it felt a little chaotic at times, so we’re working hard to make this year’s event run more smoothly. In order to do this, we need your help and would love you to join us as a volunteer! 🙋‍♂️ You can sign up for this when buying tickets or feel free to drop us an email for more details.

Many parents supported a price increase alongside voluntary sponsorship, and there was a clear preference for moving to an online fundraising platform. We’re currently setting this up, so you’ll soon be able to share details and a link with friends and family. Please keep an eye on ClassDojo for updates when our page goes live!

We know that many families are feeling the pressure of the current cost of living, and we truly appreciate any support you’re able to give. As school funding is limited, every contribution really does make a difference.

Premier Education is offering afterschool club sports based activities at Chellaston Fields Spencer Academy from the 24th February. They will be spilt into 2 age groups - Reception to Year 2 and Year 3 to Year 6.
