In this rewarding role, you'll promote volunteering in the local community, speak with prospective volunteers, and help match them with roles where they can make a real difference. Full training and support are provided, and you can volunteer flexibly around your existing commitments.

Most of us barely think about reading them, we just do it. For some adults across Derby & District, those same everyday things can be confusing, stressful, or even unsafe.
That is what adult literacy really looks like. Not a lack of intelligence, but a barrier that quietly limits independence, confidence and opportunity.
At Read Easy Derby & District we help adults learn to read through free, one to one coaching at their own pace. No classrooms, no judgement, just steady support that changes lives.
Being able to read properly changes everything. It means understanding what is in front of you, making choices for yourself, and not having to rely on others for the basics of daily life.
We are asking for support so more people can get that chance.
