The children in Acorns Nursery have had a super busy few weeks enjoying lots of activities linked to our final topic of the year, ‘Under The Sea’. 🌊

We've been learning about how to care for our planet by taking part in an ocean clean-up activity, creating wonderful sea creatures in lots of different ways, and enjoying plenty of water and messy play to help us stay cool in the sunshine. ☀️🐠🐚💙

Reminder we are welcoming applications for places in our Acorns Nursery to start in September/January/April 2026/27.
If you have a 3 or 4 year old and are interested in a place, please contact our school office on 01283 702150 or email [email protected] to arrange a visit.

Our fabulous PE coach Mr Watson!

📣 A huge shout out to Tom! 📣
One of the best compliments a coach can receive is hearing that a child wants to attend more sessions because of them!
A parent recently shared that their child has joined our After School Clubs because they enjoy Tom's PE lessons so much!🙌
Keep up the good work!🌟

To start our topic of space in Acorn's Nursery, we have been doing lots of activities linked to our story of the week "Whatever Next". The children could retell the story using the small world props and the larger scale items re-enacting it themselves.

The children have enjoyed junk modelling to make their own amazing rockets, very good use of imagination and creative skills. Well done Acorns! 🚀

We thought about what we would like to take to the moon and used our fine motor skills to draw the items in the suitcase. All the children had some great ideas such as "a sleeping bag", "teddy bears" and "snacks". 🧳🧸

This week the children have been learning about Chinese New Year.🧧🐲

We have had lots of activities to help us celebrate including decorating lanterns, painting Chinese dragons, building with various bricks to make the Great Wall of China, enjoying the story role play with props and putting number lanterns in order.

They also re-enacted the Chinese Zodiac Calendar race across the river. The children were able explore the noodles, they used tweezers and chopsticks to transfer them.🥡🥢
