Our little sunflowers are growing really well. We introduced them to their temporary new homes whilst we get their space ready outside.
We had a lovely day outside as part of our forest school. We played games, listened to a story with our snack and then did some planting. We planted wild flowers to attract bees and butterflies, pumpkins so that they grow in time for autumn for some yummy pumpkin soup and Jack o'laterns, and introduced our mint and sunflower plants to their new home!
As part of our "All about me" theme this term, we have been learning about body parts. Heather drew around one of our friends and we told her where we should stick the different pictures. We worked together well as a team and made sure everybody had a turn!

We had some fun today recognising the letters in our names and being creative with it! Here's an example of my name as a rocket!

Carrying on with our Coronation celebrations, we made some carriages so the king can travel in style!
Yesterday was the first of two picnics we are having in order to celebrate the King's coronation. We had fun making a Palace guard and making some bunting using our hands to create the Union Jack.
We've had a bit of a spring clean. Our den has been revamped with new flooring, walls, shelving and a whole new repaint! We can't wait to see where the children's imagination will take them!
We've been busy today in preparation for our Coronation parties. The children have been making flags and bunting, as well as a coronation sprinkle cake! We can't wait to decorate the room and taste our yummy treats!
Congratulations to our dance teacher Abbie. She ran the London Marathon in just over 5 hours! Well done from everyone at King George V Preschool
