📢 Important Information for Parents & Carers – Home to School Transport

Following a large number of calls we have received this morning regarding Home to School / SEND transport arrangements, we wanted to share a quick reminder with parents and carers.

Where your child’s transport is arranged and provided by the Local Authority, any queries, concerns, delays or issues relating to that transport should be directed to the relevant Local Authority transport team.

We completely understand how worrying and frustrating transport difficulties can be, particularly at the beginning of a new school term. However, where transport has been commissioned and arranged by the Local Authority, the school does not manage the transport service and is therefore unable to resolve issues relating to routes, drivers, passenger assistants, pick-up times or transport providers.

Please contact the relevant Local Authority team directly in the first instance, as they are best placed to investigate and resolve any concerns.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, and please feel free to share this information with other parents and carers who may find it helpful.

The classrooms are ready. Our teams are ready. Now we just need our students! 💙🌟

Tomorrow marks the start of another academic year at First Steps Together Group and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome our learners back!

It’s been a brilliant and incredibly busy lead-up.

👏 50+ new leaders, teachers and support staff welcomed through a successful induction week

📚 Training and development to equip our new colleagues with the skills and confidence to support our learners

🌟 INSET days bringing our whole team together for Read Write Inc,Team Teach, SEND training and much more

💙 Hundreds of colleagues united by one shared purpose – helping our learners achieve, develop and thrive

A huge thank you to everyone who has delivered training, shared their knowledge, prepared our settings and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to get us ready.

There’s something really special about the start of a new academic year – new opportunities, new milestones and so much potential ahead.

Tomorrow, we open our doors and welcome our students back.

📢 The site in Wythenshawe will open from 4pm to 6pm on Thursday 11 June, as well as Saturday 20 June from 10am to 1pm.
