Wrens and Lapwings class have been learning about the Sikh faith in RE. We found out that after Sikhs worship in the Gurdwara, they share food together in the langar. We decided to create a langar at school. We all helped to prepare the food then served it to the rest of the school. It was lovey sitting down together sharing food with our friends.

Wrens and Lapwings made clay thumb pots this week. We carefully shaped them by pressing our thumbs into the clay and then decorated them with a variety of tools. We noticed how each pot was unique and special just like we all are.

The whole school had a great time getting wet in a water fight out on the field. The children took great delight in making sure that all the teachers were thoroughly drenched!

The children performed Chitty Chitty Bang Bang with great enthusiasm last week, for three evenings, to a delighted audience. The singing and dancing were amazing and we were very proud of our hard- working and talented children who put on such an amazing show!

Chaffinches had a visit from police officers from the Civil Nuclear Constabulary. They got to sit in the police car and use some of the police equipment such as torches and handcuffs. They also tried on some police hats, helmets and jackets. Chaffinches listened to the different types of sirens and used their phonics knowledge to read the light up displays on the back of the car. Chaffinches asked lots of interesting questions and learnt lots about police work.
