We are recruiting at St Pirans Playschool.
We are looking for a special person to join our friendly team at our lovely village nursery in Delabole.
We are looking for an experienced Early Years Practitioner and we would love to hear from you if you are warm, friendly and work well within a team to make each day fun for our growing little people. We provide term time day-care for pre school children from 0-5 years and have a dedicated baby room.
All applicants will need to hold a full and relevant qualification in Early Years, NVQ, ideally at level 3 or above, with a minimum of 2 years experience post-qualifying. We require a current paediatric first aid certificate but we can provide training if needed.
Hours approx 24 a week
to be negotiated. The position will initially be a temporary one but may develop into a permanent position in time.
The successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.

St Piran’s Playschool is looking to appoint a caring and reliable Lunch Time Supervisor to join our friendly team for an immediate start.

Hours: 2 hours per day, 5 days per week (term time only)
Start Date: Immediate start available

The successful candidate will support children during the lunchtime period, helping to ensure a safe, happy, and positive environment. Duties will include supervising children while they eat, encouraging good eating habits, supporting children’s independence, and ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times.

We are looking for someone who:

Enjoys working with young children

Is patient, caring, and approachable

Works well as part of a team

Is reliable and committed

As it stands at the moment we will be opening late today at 10 am to ensure staff get safely to school, the site is safe and hopefully things maybe a little calmer for children to get safely to school.

We are now taking bookings for September 2026, especially for our wonderful Baby Room, welcoming little ones from 9 months to 2 years.
We also have a couple of spaces left for 2-year-olds for the rest of this year on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays — but be quick, they won’t last long!

Our mud kitchen is bursting with seasonal magic! The children have been busy cooking up autumn feasts with apples, pumpkins, crunchy leaves, and plenty of mud! From pumpkin pies to apple stew, imagination is the main ingredient. 🍂👩‍🍳🍏
