I live with my husband, three children, a cat and 2 tiny dogs near the Walmer area of Deal in a four bed detached home in a quiet cul-de-sac. I provide a professionally run childminding service in a home from home setting which includes a dedicated play room, large living/ dining room with a play area and a child friendly garden for use by the children. nt for children of all ages. We like to visit local parks, library, castles, sea front, parent & toddler groups, music group, toddler gym, play centres and events. A range of educational toys and equipment are available for children of all ages providing opportunities for arts and crafts, reading, messy play, imaginative play, role play, outdoor play and more! I am registered with OFSTED and am member of PACEY (formerly NCMA). I am an approved member of Kent Quality Assured Childminder Scheme, meeting the standards of the Quality Childminding Charter. I am also an Accredited Member of the scheme allowing me to draw funding for the 15hrs Free Entitlement of nursery education for 3 and 4 year olds, plus 2 year olds who are entitled. I hold an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure, as does my husband and have liability and car insurance (including business use for childminding). Working in partnership with parents is extremely important to the children, parents and myself, I am therefore always happy to answer any questions and provide as much information as possible about my services and your child when in my setting. I use a daily contact book for the younger children and a learning journal book into which a child's progress is recorded along with examples of artwork and photos of activities to share with parents. Before becoming a childminder in 2005, I spent 5yrs working as a full time sole charge nanny and many an evening babysitting! I have also undertaken work experience within a primary school, nursery school, special needs nursery school and a family home whilst studying for my BTEC National Diploma. I am of course the proud mother of 3 gorgeous children who have given me many many hours of hands on experience! My Qualifications
I hold a range of relevant qualifications including-
- BTEC National Diploma in Early Childhood Studies (Level 3 Nursery Nursing)
- Introducing Childminding Practice course (ICP)
- Paediatric First Aid (renewed every 3yrs)
- Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) training
- Child protection training
