I canโt believe it was only a week ago we held our first ever festival ๐ฏ As a team of volunteers, we are so very proud of what we accomplished at The GMS Music and Mindfulness Festival and personally I am still buzzing!
๐๏ธ The festival would not have been possible without the very best event management skills of the fabulous Angie Weatherhead - thank you forever for making Sasha Moyes and Gaz Chattertonโs dream come true. Caroline Murphy, Cloudi Bluebell, Sasha, Huw and Ben - all of whom worked together and made the festival the very best - thank you all for your hard work, creativity and patience with me ๐
๐ถ The bands and solo performers who played at the event are some of the very best around and made the day so very special, some travelling across the county and some across the country to be there! An outstanding array of very talented musicians all in one place! An absolutely massive thanks goes out to sound engineers Ian from Bootlegger's Turn and Chris Ostler Music for not only bringing their expertise, experience and high quality gear to the eventโs sound, but also their positivity and generosity. Thank you so much my friends ๐
๐ It was fantastic to have the Dawlish Town Crier and consort Bob and Heather Graham open our event and thanks to the Mayor of Dawlish Cllr Anne Heywood and Chairman of Devon County Council Cllr Cllr Rosie Dawson for Dawlish for supporting the event. Thanks to Dawlish Town Council for the loan of equipment too.
Thank you to all of our sponsors who supported this as a brand new event and the stall holders who provided everything from sustenance to face-painting ๐ฑ ๐งโ๐จ
Thank you to Andys Man Club for attending and speaking at the event - such a vital organisation and we really appreciated your communication and support for our event on social media. Eternally thankful you do what you do ๐
๐ช A massive shout out to Lady's Mile Holiday Park for letting us host our event in the fabulous marquee and field - such a fab venue and space to present our first festival and so much thanks to Tracy for the opportunity. Itus security also were totally amazing and thanks for making the event safe and secure.
๐ Thanks to Reconnect Magazine magazine for your publicity of the event and it was really something to see our festival listed alongside other events and the article too! Publicity was on the radio too thanks to Gazโs Dad ๐ป
Thank you to the RNLI for providing tea urns to help us conduct the event and thanks to local businesses who provided raffle prizes and to Caroline for organising the raffle.
๐ท Thanks also to Cloudi Lewis and Bob Simpson for documenting the event with some great photography ๐ธ
๐ Special thanks to Rhys of Ambient Sound Therapy for the sound bath and Anne Roberts - Soft Tissue Therapy for the Yoga session - both provided something wholly unique to our festival and some perfect vibes that enhanced the day.
๐ Huge thanks to Ian at I-Design for our banner - it was great to see it on the bridge in Dawlish and then as a signpost for the day on Warren Road.
๐งโ๐งโ๐งโ๐ง Thank you to our friends and families who not only came out to support the event as volunteers working hard throughout the day, but also made the day feel the way it did - you are all just so ace ๐
Thank you to all who came along and shared the event with us - donating to charity, supporting local businesses and enjoying the outstanding music. We hope you had a great day ๐
If I have not mentioned you directly, please excuse this as it is unintentional.
๐ Thank you cannot be said enough in my opinion - thank you to everyone who helped make this unique festival the success it was.
Thank you so much everyone ๐๐๐
