We hope you’re well! We’re getting in touch from the Wraparound Care Team at Gatehouse Primary Academy, where we’re working hard to make our outdoor play area even more exciting and creative for our children.

To do this, we’re building a new loose parts play area (a space filled with everyday items. It’s all about inspiring creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving through hands-on play.)

We’re on the lookout for donations of materials that could help us bring this idea to life. In particular, we’d love to find:

- Wooden spools (cable reels)

- Plastic crates or boxes

- Plastic guttering or drainpipes

- Large logs or tree stumps

- Or any other safe, sturdy items that could be reused for play

If you have any of these materials lying around or know someone who might, we’d be so grateful for your help. It’s a great way to recycle items that might otherwise go to waste and they’ll go towards creating something really special for local children.
