Friends of Welton Academy

Friends of Welton Academy Welton CE Academy cater for approximately 140 children aged between 4 and 11 years of age. Its role is to encourage closer links between home and school.

Welton Academy is a small school with big aspirations, situated in the village of Welton, Northamptonshire. The school has approximately 140 children in 5 classes and were judged to be ‘Outstanding’ in our last Ofsted Inspection. Welton CE Academy has a Parent Teacher Association (PTA), which is an organisation of parents and staff. The PTAs main function is its fundraising work, but it has a useful social function too. Fundraising events provide an opportunity for parents, teachers, staff and pupils to get together frequently outside of regular school hours and term time. How is the PTA organised? At Welton CE Academy all parents/carers and teachers are automatically members of the PTA. The PTA raise money through events and often hold one main event each school term. How can I be involved in my PTA? There are many different ways you can help with the PTA, whether you have lots of time to offer or not. Some of the roles are time-consuming, although also rewarding. If you can’t commit to a big job, look out for things you can do less frequently (e.g. running a stall at the summer fair, baking for a cake sale). And you can always support PTA events by simply turning up.

As the new academic year begins, we’d love to welcome some new parents to the Friends of Welton team ❤️

Whether you can help regularly, lend a hand at the occasional event or simply share your ideas, there’s a place for everyone. Every bit of support helps us run brilliant events, bring our school community together and raise money for all our children.

Come along to our next meeting at The White Horse on Monday 28th September at 6:30pm to find out more. There’s no pressure to commit, we’d just really love to see you there! 😊

A huge thank you to all our wonderful parents and carers for supporting the PTA throughout the year! 💛

We know how difficult it can be to find the time to help when everyone’s plates are already so full, which makes every donation, volunteer hour, raffle ticket, event attendance and shared post even more appreciated.

We hope all the children enjoyed the inflatables on Tuesday, it was a lovely way to celebrate the end of the school year!

Your support has made such a difference to our school and the children, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you have done to help make this year such a success.

We are also really looking forward to meeting our new headteacher in September and working together in the year ahead.

We hope you all have a fantastic summer! ☀️

✨A Huge Thank You! ✨

A few days on from our Summer Fete and several weeks on from our Plant Sale, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make both events such a success.

Whether you donated prizes or bottles, baked cakes, grew plants, sold raffle tickets, volunteered on a stall, helped with refreshments and the BBQ, or supported by coming along and spending money on the day, every contribution was greatly appreciated.

A special thank you goes to Jill Billyeald for her hard work and dedication in coordinating the event and helping everything run so smoothly.

We are delighted with the amount raised, which will be shared between Welton Academy and St Martin's Church.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the fete such an enjoyable and successful event.
