We had a little work done around school yesterday - have you spotted any π?
One of our favourites is the new addition to the EYFS entrance, so guardians feel like they're coming through a main entrance still and not a side entrance.
We came across some gorgeous poppies too and even a little slither of sunshine and blue sky βοΈ

Looking for a special someone to start the children's day off calmly, in our homely provision, serving a nutritional breakfast to give them the best start to the day ππ₯£

π¦ Congratulations and welcome to our newest reception additions starting in September 2026 π¦
Parents/carers who have been offered a place to start our Hedgehogs class for the reception 2026 intake will have received email correspondence at the beginning of this week welcoming them and inviting them to a package of induction events and sessions. We are very excited to meet you all and share lots of new information with you about what September will look like!
Please note: if you are a parent/carer with a sibling already in the school your attendance is still required to ensure a smooth transition into school. You will also be finding out new information that will differ to previous years.

π We have plenty of stones and pebbles in our mud kitchen which we would love to have painted and varnished into some play food.
π If you are a current parent/carer from any year group and would like to help create some fun memories and experiences for our Nursery and Reception children, please see one of the Early Years team and we will happily send you home with some pebbles to decorate.
π₯ If you are a member of the public/local community please visit the school office for some pebbles or to drop off if you are supplying your own painted pebble fruits and vegetables.
π¨ Please note - we would like the pebbles you paint to be returned to us varnished if possible so that they will withstand the weather and last us years to come.

π’Monksmoor Park Gardening Club would love your support.π’
We have a large and enthusiastic group of children who are busy planting the allotment and improving the school planter boxes. We would love any donations of surplus plants that you may have. For example if your packet of seeds has yielded more plants than you have room for in your garden, we will happily find them a home. Seeds also welcomed. Any donations would be very warmly received. You can pop these into the main reception.
Thanks for considering our request! πΈπͺ»π·
