A little stop at the Honesty Hut… and what a dangerous place for someone with no self-control! 😂🛍️

Loads of delicious delights — I very nearly bought the lot! 🙈 Cannot wait to get home and start tasting our haul.

Tomorrow morning’s breakfast is already sorted… fresh sourdough! 🍞🤤

The only question is… will everything actually make it home? 😂 G and Spencer are very excited to try them now!

🌟 **What a fantastic start to Year 6!** 🌟

We’ve had a brilliant first few days and have already been very busy!

📚 In **English**, we’ve started exploring our new text, *The Invisible Story*. We’ve focused on the setting and have been building some fantastic expanded noun phrases, ready to use in our setting descriptions next week.

🔢 In **Maths**, we’ve begun our Place Value unit, working with numbers all the way up to **one million**!

🔬🏛️ We’ve also made a great start on our exciting new topics in **Science** and **History**.

🎮 To finish off a brilliant first few days, we enjoyed some well-earned **Blooket time** today as a special treat!

Well done, Year 6 – what a fantastic start! ⭐👏

🎨 **A Fantastic Start for Year 5!** 🌟

Year 5 have settled in amazingly well and have made a brilliant start to the new school year!

In Art, we have been working hard to create some fantastic double-page spreads, exploring a variety of art installations and sharing our own thoughts and opinions about them. The children have enjoyed discussing what they like, what catches their attention and how different pieces of art make them feel. 🖌️🖼️

It has been wonderful to see everyone expressing their ideas confidently and creatively. What a great start, Year 5! 👏

🌟 A Wonderful Start for Pre-School! 🌟

The children have settled wonderfully into their new environment and have made such a positive start! They have been busy learning new routines and boundaries, becoming familiar with their surroundings and growing in confidence each day.

It has been especially lovely to see new friendships beginning to blossom as the children play, learn and explore together. 💛

We are so proud of how well they are settling in and look forward to all the exciting learning and adventures ahead! 🌈✨

Year 2

🌊 Writing – Creating Interest & Immersing Ourselves 🌊

This week, we began exploring our exciting new vehicle text! We watched clips of rivers and listened carefully to the different sounds we might hear. We then explored the beautiful illustration on the front cover of A River by Marc Martin.

To spark our curiosity even further, we investigated a selection of objects, including a boat, binoculars, jungle animals, cars and farm animals. These prompted lots of fantastic discussion and encouraged us to make thoughtful predictions about what our new text might be about. We can’t wait to discover more! 📚🔍🌿

🔢 Maths – Counting in Tens 🔢

In Maths, we have been exploring counting in tens and discovering how grouping objects into groups of ten can make counting quicker and easier.

We put this into practice using straws and lolly sticks, carefully making groups of ten before counting our totals. There was also plenty of teamwork involved, as we had to communicate, cooperate and help one another to succeed in our challenge! 🙌

Fantastic learning, teamwork and curiosity all around! ⭐

What an amazing first few days we have had in Year 1!

We have been very busy with lots of exciting learning. In English, we have enjoyed exploring our new story, Old Bear, and have produced some super writing. We have also worked incredibly hard during our phonics sessions.

In maths, we have been sorting objects into different groups by colour, size and shape. We have also had great fun being active and developing our skills in PE.

We have been so impressed by everyone’s fantastic behaviour, enthusiasm and positive attitude towards learning. The children have settled into Year 1 beautifully and we are incredibly proud of every single one of them. What a wonderful start to the year! 🌟
