π°β¨ Year 5 had a fantastic trip to Turton Tower as part of our The Terrible Tudors topic!
During the visit, we learned all about life in Tudor times, including what people ate, what they wore, how they slept, and how they entertained themselves. Exploring the historic building brought our learning to life and gave us a fascinating insight into the daily lives of people from the Tudor period.
A wonderful day full of discovery, history, and hands-on learning! ππ

Did you know that the years between ages 2 and 6 are some of the most important for language development?
The conversations children have every day help to build the foundations for learning, reading, friendships and emotional wellbeing. From sharing stories and singing songs to talking about feelings and exploring new words, every interaction makes a difference.
Developing strong language skills before starting school helps children feel confident, communicate their needs, build relationships and engage successfully in learning.
As parents and carers, you are your child's first and most important teacher. Taking time to chat, listen and read together can have a lasting impact on their future success.
Take a look at this helpful guide from National College for practical tips and ideas to support your child's language development and school readiness
