Music Tuition offers private and group classes in Singing, Piano, Keyboards and Music Theory. I currently have over 50 students, who enjoy excellent facilities at studios in Darwen and Bolton. Hi everyone. Having to send this message is making me feel quite sad, because I am happiest when I can concentrate on the parts of my job that I truly love - teaching and inspiring people, and making music. The reality, however, is that I am also a small business with a living to make. And so here we are.
Unfortunately - over the last couple of months, I have been experiencing a few problems with "no-shows" and late or non payment of outstanding fees. Both of these things can be crippling to a small business.
Therefore, from January 2026, I feel I have little choice but to introduce the following 2 new policies.
1. If outstanding fees for any student remain unpaid for more than one month, no further lessons will be offered until the outstanding amount has been cleared.
2. 3 instances of "no-show" will result in that student's place being withdrawn, and offered to the next person on my waiting list.
I will continue - as always - to do my very best to rearrange or swap any lessons that cannot be attended.
