This week at nursery we have enjoyed all things Easter!
We had a surprise visit from the Easter bunny who hid eggs for us to find🐰
We have had a visit from the Zoolab who brought a corn snake, tarantula, cockroach, gerbil, giant African land snail and a tree frog. We had some very brave children touching and holding some of them!
We had hot cross buns for snack and have had lots of fun filled activities going on through nursery throughout the week.

We wish all of you a lovely Easter break!

We have had a very busy week in nursery this week. We started the week celebrating Nursery Rhyme week. We have sang, played games and been very creative whilst singing: Humpty Dumpty, Two Little Dickie Birds, Sing a song of sixpence and I hear thunder. We have loved nursery rhyme week and it has been lovely to see the children singing so much!

We have had a wonderful day today raising money for Children in Need. The children have looked wonderful in their yellow clothes, ears and some with crazy hair! We have raised £50 so far so thankyou for your support.
Have a lovely weekend.

It was lovely to welcome everyone back on Monday after the half term break, the children have settled quickly back into the routines which is great to see.

This week we have been reading 'Room on the Broom' by Julia Donaldson. The children have loved acting out the story and dressing up. We have been thinking all about bonfire night, fireworks and the changes that we see around us. We have been learning all about the number 1 too which has been lots of fun. We looked at the artist Jackson Po***ck and his artwork 'Firework' and then created some of our own. We made breadstick sparklers and loved eating them!

Take a look at our photographs to see the exciting things we have been upto.

Have a lovely weekend.

What a lovely week we have had in nursery. We have been thinking all about autumn and the changes that we see around us. The leaves are falling all over the nursery playground and we have used these in different ways in our learning this week. We have been making autumnal pictures, using leaves in our art and in our mud kitchen. We have enjoyed our sports coach visit and exploring pumpkins with our senses. What a wonderful week!

This week the children have been doing a range of activities surrounding the theme of Autumn. We have been using Autumn coloured dabbers to create Autumn pictures, made clay hedgehogs, printing and cutting. All the children baked a cinnamon leaf biscuit and did sports with the PE guide.
The aim of the sport session was to hit a target using a small bean bag.
In maths, we have been learning to match shapes but in continous provision we have been making arrangements.
Outside, we have been creating some Autumn leaf reefs.
What a busy week! Have a lovely weekend ☺️
