Resonate so hard with this ...
Sat down at the start of this year and had a think of areas I can improve professionally. Social media is always top of the list.
The truth is I LOVE coaching. An active 40 client portfolio is honestly less hastle for me than coming up with ways to build a social media following
But honestly, in a little town like Darwen, loyal customers, an honest business and word of mouth are all you really need to tick along nicely
So I will continue to just enjoy coaching and training ... and if my little social media channel drags along on its coat tails so be it ππ

2022 β‘οΈ 2026 β€οΈ (Repost from a client)
People see me now and think I've been lucky.
What they don't see is where I started.
Nearly 100kg at 5ft tall. The years of trying, giving up, starting again, falling off plan for months at a time, and watching my weight go up, down, and back up again. The gym sessions I really didn't want to do. The days I relied on motivation and the days I had none.
They don't see how long it took me to realise I couldn't out-train a bad diet, no matter how hard I worked.
And they definitely don't see that the work still hasn't stopped.
I'm still training 6 days a week. Still weighing food. Still tracking. Still following the plan. Still showing up every day, even when I can't be bothered.
Life's busy. 3 kids, a husband, a cat, a dog, a rabbit, work, meal prep, and all the usual chaos. Most days start at 6am and don't slow down until the evening.
This wasn't luck, and it definitely wasn't linear.
It's been years of ups and downs, tears, tantrums (from my coach as much as me π€£), setbacks, lessons, and getting back up every time I wanted to pack it in.
But I kept going.
And that's what this photo means to me. Not just a physical transformation, but proof of what can happen when you refuse to quit. πͺβ€οΈ
Thank you and to the amazing people I have met in the gym along the way. Those that clap for me, support me and push me to be 1% better everytime β€οΈ

The face of a lady who can't stop getting stronger
Intro to the trap bar is going well. Confidence and technique are improving week by week.
Nutrition is dialled in, the gym community is thriving.
Long may it continue π

FREE COMMUNITY WALK ANNOUNCEMENT πͺπΆββοΈ
Our next free community walk will be on Sunday 7th June at 10am. We are setting off from Sunnyhurst Pub on a roughly 7.5km route at a gentle pace with options to do some or all of it, followed by the option of a drink at the pub afterwards
The last walk was lovely, it was great to get to know some familiar faces from the gym and a great opportunity to meet some like minded people
If you would like to join myself, and get in touch with any of us either online or at for more information

Bit of a deep dive for those interesed ...
For me - top PT's don't build physiques, they build people
Basic psychology is more important than elite level programming
Build a strong foundation and the hard bits become easy
If people actually find this stuff interesting and dont switch off after 20 seconds I will use it more often

Find your power from the floor isn't where you want it to be?
Recently I introduced Adie to Compensatory Acceleration Training (CAT)
One of the biggest indicators of a monster deadlift is your rate of force development from the floor.
Allow for periods in your programming where you lay off the your top end weights, yet instead of increasing volume , focus on increasing bar speed, add in some heavy Hip Thrusts to bring up your lockout power alongside and I promise you once its time to max out, PB'S will be falling π₯

Barely posted my own training in a solid year as honestly for a solid 9 months it was almost non-existent
My training well and truly dropped off a cliff, but Body and Brain are absolutely back in sync now - I am the heaviest I have been in 3 years yet pound for pound I have never felt stronger - its been a long time since I have felt weightless on a bar, as much as I see it all the time in others I am shocked at how much a strong foundation helps you bounce back from periods away
Another couple of months of good quality food and just enjoying using my body again and maybe it will be time for Beast Tom to make a return π€

I always love a client wedding! But this one was special - Big congrats and Josh! We had a great time
Kerry started around 8 months ago with the aim of fixing a dodgy knee and dropping weight for her wedding ...
About a month in, a week into her shiny new cut plan, she finds out shes pregnant! 5 months before the wedding
SO back to the drawing board - We replanned our approach ... naturally Kerry was worried her stomach would look big in her dress, so we opted to blow out her shoulders and quads and get a little v-taper going on whilst focusing on quality nutrition over cutting weight, only this worked so well we ended up with dress alterations to fit not her stomach but the absolute WINGS we grew!
Dont let anyone tell you you cant get in shape while you are pregnant
Absolute pleasure to see your hard work on display on your big day! You looked brilliant. Enjoy your honeymoon
