π΅π‘πͺπΈ FIFA World Cup 2026 Afternoon β½οΈ in EYFS- We were representing Spain! πͺπΈ We had lots of fun learning all about Spain and Spanish culture. We coloured Spanish flags, learned to say βHola!β and βGracias!β, as well as practicing counting to 10 in Spanish. We were also very brave and tried some tasty Spanish foods! It was a morning full of fun, exploration and exciting new learning experiences.πͺπΈπ‘π΅

π΅π‘FIFA World Cup 2026 Morning β½οΈ in Year 1 - We were the reigning world cup champions Argentina π¦π·- We Learned our numbers to 10 in Spanish. We made and ate Ensalada de Frutas and learned lots of interesting facts about Leonel Messi and Argentina our morning was full of fun, creativityπ‘π΅

π§π·π§π·Year 3 have had a fabulous afternoon learning all about Brazil as part of our school World Cup celebration. We have tried Brazilian fruit skewers, Brigadeios and Brazilian cheese bread. We've learned lots about Brazilian culture and even tried to do some samba dancing. π§π·π§π·

π‘π΅π²π½Year 6 have π²π½π²π½π²π½MEXICOπ²π½π²π½π²π½ in the world cup draw! The children have done some reading about the World Cup, coloured in flags, completed a factfile and tasted Mexican food! The cheesy tortillas, chilli tacos and rice pudding went down a treat! Come on Mexico (and England!)π²π½π‘π΅

π΅π‘ A busy and exciting day yesterday for Year 2 as we welcomed our new friends from Turton and Edgworth Primary School as part of our linking schools project. It was great fun working together, building teamwork skills and making new friendships. There were lots of smiles throughout the day, and weβre already looking forward to visiting their school soon!π‘π΅

π‘π΅On Friday, Year 6 dodged the showers and practised some events for the athletics event at Witton Park and for sports day. The children impressed us with their throwing skills and their running. π΅π‘

π΅π‘Today it was the turn of Year 6 to go to Forest School. Using natural materials in our environment, we learned how to build a shelter to protect us from the cold and prevent hypothermia. This was a welcome activity given the unseasonably cold weather!π₯ΆβοΈπ¨οΈ π΅π‘
