🥹 ❤️ Today, we say goodbye to an incredible group of young people as our Year 6 children leave Avondale Primary School and prepare for the next exciting chapter of their journey.

It hardly seems possible that seven years ago they walked through our doors as tiny reception children, some clutching a parent's hand, some with nervous smiles, and others ready to take on the world. Since then, they have grown in ways that words can barely capture.

They have learned to read, write, calculate, question and create. They have discovered talents they never knew they had, overcome challenges they once thought impossible, formed friendships that will last a lifetime, and filled our classrooms, playgrounds and corridors with laughter, curiosity and unforgettable memories.

Throughout their time at Avondale, they have lived our values every single day. They have embraced learning, shown kindness to those around them, treated others with respect, worked hard to do their best, made the right choices even when it wasn't always easy, and demonstrated incredible resilience when faced with life's challenges. These values are more than words on a wall—they are part of who our children have become.

As they leave us, they take with them so much more than SATs results, certificates or school reports. They carry confidence, compassion, determination and a belief in themselves that will guide them wherever life takes them.

Our school motto has always been Learning, Smiling and Remembering, and these wonderful children have truly embodied every part of it. They have loved learning, shared countless smiles, and together we have made memories that will remain in our hearts forever.

To our amazing Year 6 leavers: never stop believing in yourselves. Be brave enough to chase your dreams, kind enough to lift others up, and resilient enough to keep going when the path becomes difficult. Remember that your Avondale family will always be cheering you on.

Although we are saying goodbye, this is not the end of your story—it is just the beginning of a new adventure. We couldn't be prouder of the remarkable young people you have become.

Thank you for the laughter, the determination, the unforgettable moments and for leaving your own special mark on Avondale Primary School.

Go and shine brightly 💫. Dream big. Work hard. Stay true to yourselves.

Out with a bang! This young lady has been so determined this year to reach her 3 million word milestone: it was a personal target she set for herself in September. She achieved this a couple of weeks ago and today, on the last day of term, she has smashed 4 million words! An unbelievable achievement for a true bookworm. We are all in awe of you Elithea! A huge well done!
