Both my children are off school poorly and guess what, they are not going on tech all day!

So we need to dig into our creative minds!

And I love this activity. In primary school I remember being given a laminated picture of a really funky house. Must have been Scandinavian or something. I'd never seen a building like that and I immediately thought, Aliens live there! We all received different images and a single sentence to get us started.

I loved it.

Today we have introduced a little bit of tech by using AI to generate three different images to guide our short stories.
We then asked AI to create a single short opening sentence for us to use but it just couldn't understand what we needed.

So we are creating our own instead and just going for it!

Not all letters are about sharing good news. Some are written to reconnect with an estranged family member or friend because talking has become to difficult.

We can use letter writing to explore thoughts and feelings that are just to hard to express face to face.

The Tale of Two Letters helps us prepare for writing that difficult letter by firstly writing an Unsent Letter. Here we get to let it ALL out without any fear of judgement or repercussions.

It sounds quite serious but after several workshops exploring this theme, there is also lots of joy as we unravel our thoughts and emotions.

It's becoming very popular with large tech companies because they've seen the isolation the online world creates.

No, we're not anti tech! There is just a healthy balance to achieve in life.

This is where we come in with our wellness letter writing workshops that promote connection and communication. And lots more. And shock horror, they are face to face!

Could be tempted to do a zoom but would kind of destroy the idea of a digital Detox!

At A Letter Is Better CIC we work with three fundamentals which are, Connection, Authenticity and Sense of Accomplishment. They encompass the elements required to write a letter whole heartedly but also, as a receiver, we can appreciate the time and effort that has gone into producing something so personal and unique.

But, did you know that not all letters contain good news? They are not all designed to bring a smile to your face. The Tale Of Two Letters will guide you through writing that difficult letter. The challenging one. The one you’ve been putting off for some time!

I've not tagged the writer of this letter in because of it's importance and personal nature.

They said they've been putting off sending this one for a long time, and they have no idea whether they'll receive a response.

This is the way of letter writing. It's definitely not all good news and it's not always easy. But we do it because it's such an amazing communication tool. A way to reconnect. To share thoughts and feelings waaay to big for a quick chat.

Letter writing can open up a dialogue that you once thought impossible. And if you'd like some support or ideas inbox us and we can point you in the right direction.

Yes, my hand is aching!

This year is all about workshops. We want to get out there but somehow, sending emails just doesn't make sense. It doesn't fit.

So I've researched a long list of names of people interested in wellbeing for their staff and over the next few months many more letters will be heading out. Which will be added to the .

I'm looking to connect with corporations, large organisations and other businesses who would like a creative letter writing workshop with a focus on the Unsent Letter.

Workshops can be tailored for any subject or topic of course which is a fun challenge.
