Should girls fight in Taekwondo? 🤔

It’s a question many parents ask.

Will it be too aggressive? Is it safe? What if they get hurt?

The reality is that sparring in martial arts isn’t about fighting — it’s about confidence, control, and learning to believe in yourself.

We’ve written a short blog addressing the common concerns parents have and explaining why sparring can be such a powerful confidence builder for girls.

🥋 Take a quick read and see why so many girls thrive in Martial Arts.

And if your child would like to try a class, their first class at KBT Academy is free, and we are open over the Easter School holidays.

Unlimited Training over Easter at KBT!

The Easter holidays are a great time to get some extra training in, and at KBT Academy we’ll be running all classes as normal throughout the break.

From 30th March to 12th April 2026, students are welcome to make the most of their membership by training as often as they like — and even trying classes at other KBT locations. If you’re not away on holiday, it’s a brilliant opportunity to build skills, improve fitness, and spend more time on the mats.

Please note that all classes will pause over the Easter weekend (3rd–6th April) while your favourite instructors take a well-earned break.

Aside from that short break, everything runs as usual — so feel free to visit different locations, try extra classes, and keep your progress moving forward.

Whether you want to sharpen your techniques, get ready for your next grading, or simply enjoy more training time with the KBT family, the Easter holidays are the perfect chance to do it.

🥋 Train more. Improve more. Enjoy more KBT.

If you are heading away during the holidays, don’t worry — you can always catch up on missed classes by training a little extra before you go or when you return.

Open to all KBT students.

“Every great fighter has a moment like this…”

A quiet word from the Master.
A bit of advice.
A secret that only experience can teach.

Years of Martial Arts knowledge… passed down in a few simple words.

But the question is…

💭 What do you think he’s saying?

Let's have your best guess in the comments below:

Dads and lads train together.

This is George and his dad. George trains with Master Lloyd at our Crayford location in the Little Ninjas programme.

George, who joined in November has just achieved his bronze medal award for his Little Ninja handbook.

George always listens really well, and always tries his best. He also has a great memory and is able to answer any question Master lloyd asks in class.

George and his dad work brilliantly together every Saturday at 9.15am.

Well done George and dad, Master Lloyd is super proud of you both!
