Today is the start of a two day celebration of Raksha Bandhan 👩🏽❤️👨🏽 🪢🕉️ ♦️
Raksha Bandhan is an Indian celebration of sisterly and brotherly respect and love. 'Raksha' means protection and 'Bandhan', to tie.
The occasion is meant to celebrate any type of brother-sister relationship between men and women who may not be biologically related.
A sister will wrap a red-and-gold rakhi (sacred thread of love) round her brother's wrist and say a prayer for his well-being and prosperity.

Today marks the start of The Notting Hill Carnival 🎉 🎊 🪅🪩
The Notting Hill Carnival is the second-largest carnival in the world, and the biggest in Europe!
The carnival started in 1966, and is a huge street festival that now takes place in London every year over two days.
It's all about celebrating Caribbean heritage, arts and culture - including music, food and dancing. 🎶 💃🏼 🇯🇲

Today is international dog day! 🐩 🐕
A day that helps people recognise the importance of dogs and how they impact lives on a personal basis.
It’s also a day that’s used by various dog charities and individuals interested in the welfare of pets to draw attention to the plight of abused and abandoned dogs. It’s also a day to give all of those hard-working service dogs that work for us humans a day to recognise their hard work on our behalf.
It’s been estimated that approximately 57% of all of the people in the world own pets and of that 57%, approximately 33% of them own dogs.

England's lionesses have made it all the way the World Cup Final. 🏆 ⚽️ 👧🏽 🦁
It's the first time in the Lionesses' history and nearly 60 years since any England team has got this far.
Playing football and other sports encourages strong bones and muscles and helps build a child's immune system. Furthermore sports like football help massively with improving a child's balance, flexibility, strength, and coordination.
The game starts at 11am today, will you be watching?
