Year 4 had an absolutely amazing trip to Herne Bay last week! The weather was perfect for paddling and examining sea creatures! The trip linked to the Year 4 topics of Coasts and Living things and their habitats. We also ate lunch alongside the pavilion - we have been designing and building pavilions in our Design and Technology lessons this term. All the wildlife was treated with care and returned to it's natural habitat. Herne Bay provided a long stretch of shallow water for our children to experience the sea in. A perfect trip for our lovely students!

Our Rocksteady musicians treated us all to a wonderful end of year concert on Friday. They showcased their hard work and we all enjoyed their performances.

Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed performing in their class assembly about the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. They also acted out a scene from one of their English reading books and demonstrated their music knowledge. The finished the assembly off with the dance they had learned in PE showing pirates taking over a ship!

From 25 June to 1 September 2026, the Government is temporarily cutting VAT from 20% to 5% on children's meals in restaurants, children and family tickets to cinemas, theatres, concerts and exhibitions, and admission to a wide range of attractions. Combined with free bus travel during August for children aged 5 to 15 in England, families and young people will be able to enjoy experiences that make summer special, including visits to the kinds of cultural and educational attractions that enrich children's lives outside the classroom.

Free Kellogg's breakfasts in all Morrisons Cafes

Between 29th June and 6th September 2026, families can access free Kellogg's breakfasts in all Morrisons Cafes. This is available to both children and adults , who can choose from much-loved favourites Corn Flakes or Rice Krispies, topped with their choice of dairy or non-dairy milk and a free apple or banana.

In addition to the Kellogg’s Breakfast offer, Morrisons ‘Kids Eat Free’ offer will continue to run in all its Cafés, allowing families to enjoy a free meal and drink for one child aged 16 or under when they purchase an adult main meal costing over £5 from The Breakfasts and The Classics menu.
