As we come to the end of the term (and year!), I wanted to say a huge thank you to all of my students and families for your support throughout 2025.💛 It’s been a busy and rewarding year - I’ve delivered over 800 tutoring sessions, and in February I also welcomed my baby girl ❤️

Hello 👋🏼 I’ve been quietly working on some updates to my tutoring website over the past few months, and I’m really pleased to start sharing.

It’s been a while since I posted here, so this felt like the perfect time to pop back on and say hello. 💛 I’ll be posting more about each of these updates, but here are a few snippets. I also had a baby in February, and although life has been a little busier recently, I’ve still been tutoring, and I’m really excited to be working with some new students soon.✨

Starting the year fully self employed for the first time, I was absolutely terrified that I wouldn’t get enough students. However since September, I have completed over 1000 tutoring sessions and have worked with over 40 students which I really never thought was possible.✨ Safe to say it has been a crazy year filled with SO MUCH MATHS. 🤓 But I don’t think I will ever get bored of it… circle theorems, trigonometric identities and even probability really never gets old!

I have also had a really great bunch of students this year who I cannot thank enough 😊 thank you all for working hard and for pretending to laugh at every last one of my bad maths jokes. It really never goes unnoticed 😉 you’re all amazing and I cannot wait to hear how each of you get on with results day 🍀

From September I will be working full time as a maths teacher, however will have some limited availability for tutoring. 👩🏻‍🏫 But for now, happy summer holidays!☀️😎 Enjoy the break and I will see some of you in September 😊

Happy Pi day, aka my favourite day of the year 🙈 a whole day dedicated to my favourite number!😌😂 I made this poster back in 2019 but will always dig it out on pi day 😂 I hope you enjoy this brief history of pi!

I really couldn’t find a cool enough new year maths themed puzzle (apologies), but if your New Year’s resolution is to do more maths this year (I know you’re thinking, why wouldn’t it be?), I would highly recommend The Ultimate Mathematical Challenge, a book consisting of 365 maths puzzles so that 2023 really can be the year to count on (pun very much intended). If it wasn’t in your Amazon cart already and you really needed any more convincing, here is an example question from week 1. I need not say anymore. Happy new year! 🎉🥳🎊
