ℕ𝕒𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕖𝕤 𝕋𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕤𝕦𝕣𝕖𝕤 🍁

We have been enjoying reading ‘The Leaf Thief’ 🍂 and were inspired to create our very own leaf and acorn collection for our woodland animals to explore and play with. 🦔🐿️

This week we also focused on colour recognition and sorting. 🌈 Our little ones enjoyed using magnets and coins to sort and match them into the correct coloured pots.

We enjoyed a lovely morning at our local park with friends, making the most of the warm weather and lots of outdoor play ☀️ We then headed out on an Autumn walk, collecting leaves in all different colours 🍂 exploring different types of seeds 🌱 and natural treasures, and talking about all the changes we can see happening around us.

𝔽𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕚𝕟𝕥𝕠 𝔸𝕦𝕥𝕦𝕞𝕟 🐿️

Our focus this week has been Autumn and all the wonderful changes that come with this beautiful season! 🍁

We’ve been getting stuck in with some creative painting in the garden, choosing lots of autumnal colours to decorate our fun book den 📚🍂

We also headed out on a local walk, collecting lots of fallen leaves and exploring the different colours and textures we could see around us. We discovered some lovely pine cones too, which we brought back to use in our play and learning 🐿️🍁

Our little ones have also been busy in our small-world village, using the diggers to push, move and clear away the leaves and debris from the roads — just like our very own little road workers! 👷🏻‍♂️🚧

B𝕚𝕘 C𝕙𝕒𝕟𝕘𝕖𝕤 - B𝕚𝕘 E𝕞𝕠𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟𝕤

We’ve had a lovely couple of weeks settling back in after the holidays, and it’s been wonderful to see everyone again! 💕 With lots of our little ones starting school or nursery, our new routine is only just beginning to settle into place 📚✏️

This past week has brought some big changes and with big changes can come some big emotions! 🫶🏼 We’ve been exploring different feelings through stories, puzzles and lots of lovely conversations, helping the children to recognise and talk about how they feel 🥹

As we’ve been enjoying our walks to school, we’ve also been thinking about staying safe when out and about. We explored different road signs ⛔️ and talked about the important people who help us in our community, including our wonderful crossing patrol 👮

Another lovely week of learning, exploring and growing together at Little Jem’s! 💕

This was our last week as we are closed now for a little break before the new school year 🫶🏼
Lots of big changes happening at Little Jem’s, we have some children that are leaving for big school 💔and although my heart breaks I am happy and proud of the children they have grown to be and will always be grateful that the families chose me for the first part of their journey 💕

We wish our families and little ones the best of luck in the new school year and enjoy the last week of summer together 😊

𝔽𝕠𝕝𝕝𝕠𝕨𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔽𝕦𝕟 👦🏽

A lovely last week of summer here at Little Jem’s ☀️ We have been exploring national parks, running through the trees, collecting sticks and leaves 🍃 We went to a bounce-a-thon where we were able to burn off lots of energy 😮‍💨 and visited our favourite zoo where we saw the otters had pups 🦦 a snappy crocodile 🐊 and even a colony of bats 🦇 Our wonderful week finished off in the sun with an ice cream.

𝕊𝕦𝕞𝕞𝕖𝕣 𝔼𝕩𝕡𝕝𝕠𝕣𝕚𝕟𝕘 🍉

Lots more outdoor exploring this week, we went to the woods, following a trail, discovering hidden areas 🌳 We made mud pies in the kitchen and have been looking after our fruit and veg 🍓 The little ones had a great time bowling 🎳 supporting and helping each other.

𝕊𝕦𝕞𝕞𝕖𝕣 𝕋𝕚𝕞𝕖 𝔸𝕕𝕧𝕖𝕟𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕖𝕤 🌸

Another wonderful summer week complete ✅ Spent out on adventures with our little friends. We have followed trails and found hidden fairy doors🧚 Used our nets in the river to catch fish and other water insects 🦟 Worked as a team to create a den to hide out in using long logs ⛺️ made some beaded bracelets to take home and made the best memories 💕

𝕊𝕦𝕞𝕞𝕖𝕣 𝔽𝕦𝕟 ☀️

The summer holidays are in full swing and we are enjoying every minute of it ☀️
We’ve been keeping cool in the garden, cooking up a storm in the mud kitchen and splashing 💦 about with the mermaids.
We’ve enjoyed a few picnics in the park already 🧺 and joined in solving riddles and following clues to find the lost jewels on a quest 🐉

𝕄𝕖𝕣𝕞𝕒𝕚𝕕 𝕊𝕡𝕝𝕒𝕤𝕙 🧜‍♀️

Carrying on our water theme this week 💦 We had fun exploring the ocean, reading books and discovering what types of creatures that live there 🐠 We used tweezers and a magnifying glass to discover creatures in the rock pool and matched them to the fact file! We used the coins and shells to make some fun prints in the playdough 🐚 And everyone had a splashing time with the mermaids at the pool party 🧜

𝔸𝕙𝕠𝕪 𝕞𝕖 𝕞𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕖𝕤 🏴‍☠️

Last week we set sail with the pirates 🌊 on a swashbuckling adventure! We uncovered buried treasure 🪎 following the trail on the maps we had made 🗺️ We counted coins, talked about bigger and smaller and used the tweezers to transfer. At the end of the week, we made ships and decorated the sails to take home ⚓️
