We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about the industry and keen to pass on their skills and experience, playing a key role in shaping the future workforce.

Based at TICA House, Darlington, this hands-on role involves delivering training and assessment in thermal insulation and metal fabrication, helping apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in the industry.

You don’t need teaching or assessing qualifications to apply. If you have strong industry experience (TICA gold card or equivalent), full training will be provided to support you in gaining training/assessing qualifications on the job.

📍 Location: Darlington (DL1 4QB) – suitable for those within a commutable distance
💷 Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Thermal Insulation Contractors Association - TICA is seeking an experienced and ambitious Head of Education and Skills to lead and futureproof our apprenticeship and commercial training provision.

📍 Location: TICA House, Darlington (DL1 4QB)
💼 Salary: £45,000–£55,000
🕒 Contract: Full time (with options for a condensed 4-day week)

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for shaping TICA’s education strategy across thermal insulation and asbestos removal training, overseeing apprenticeships, NVQs, quality assurance, Ofsted readiness, funding, and continuous improvement.

You’ll lead a growing education team, work closely with employers and stakeholders, and play a key role in developing the skilled workforce our industry needs now and in the future.

Workshop Technician – Darlington

We are recruiting a Workshop Technician to join the team at TICA House, Darlington.

This is a hands-on role supporting our National Training Centre, working alongside workshop staff and apprentices to help ensure our facilities run safely and smoothly. Full training will be provided, with clear opportunities for development and progression.

📍 Location: Darlington (DL1 4QB)
💷 Salary: £16,000–£26,000 per year (age dependent, in line with National Minimum Wage – April 2026 rates)
🗓 Closing date: 18 February 2026

This role would suit someone practical, organised, and keen to take their first steps into a long-term career.
