We would like to share Edward's story, Edward joined the nursery in March with his twin sister following in their big Brother Jude's footsteps. Edward and his family have had a rough start to his early life. In honour of a charity who has helped the family in time of need his dad is taking on the challenge of Great North Run and the link to his page is below.

Danesmoor 2026 summer party!!!
What an amazing way to celebrate the end of term, our children had to best time on the bouncy castle, met some lovely animals and enjoyed some delicious ice cream!
It was lovely to see so many happy smiling faces and lots of memories made.
We hope you all have a fantastic summer. 🍦🌞🎉🐏

Hi everyone, as you all know it is party day at Danesmoor tomorrow and we have lots of fun planned for all of the children. We also have Gwenny's ice cream van coming at 12pm and it will be £2.50 per child for an ice cream or ice lolly, if you're child is in for the full day please hand the money to the staff and we will keep track of who has brought cash in for the ice-cream. If you would not like your child to get an ice-cream please just let one of us know. Additionally, if your child is only attending 10-12 party time, feel free to hang around for your child's ice cream.

🧑🏻‍🎓 CLASS OF 2026! 🧑🏻‍🎓
We are so proud of our 28 Preschool children who did an amazing job at graduation yesterday, they were all so confident and we have loved watching you grow into kind, confident, happy children who are going to be amazing at primary school. A big well done to all of the staff for making it such a special occasion. We are going to miss you all as you head off to school but you will always be part of the Danesmoor family.

A big thank you to Durham Constabulary for taking the time to come and visit us today! The children loved sitting in the police van, learning all about what the police do and discovering all the ways they keep the community safe. It was such a fun and interactive experience for the children who were really engaged and full of questions.
We really appreciate you taking the time to inspire and teach the children. Thank you for everything you do to support the community. 🚔🚓

The Sparks Help Charlotte Humphrey raise money to support Alzheimer's Society

Last week we had a lovely visit from Andrea the midwife. The children loved asking lots of questions and learnt that babies just need love ❤️
The children shared stories with Andrea and made lots of comments
"When I was a baby I was bald"
"My baby cousin kai wee'd on aunty Ash"
"My mummy has a baby in her tummy"
The children were so lovely to hear Andrea takes care of their mummies as lots of them are big brothers and sisters or soon to be. 🩷🩵
