Today we hold in prayer the children, staff, families and communities of St Teresa’s Catholic Primary Schools in Darlington and Hartlepool ✨

St Thérèse reminds us that holiness is found in small acts of love done with great trust.

“My vocation is love.”

“Unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 18:3)

May her “little way” inspire us to choose kindness, patience and love each day.

St Thérèse of the Child Jesus, pray for us 🌟

We have our school mass on Thursday 1st October at 9:30am to celebrate St. Teresa’s feast day and on Friday 2nd we have a non-school uniform day to raise money for Mission Together.
Last Friday, we were delighted to welcome Maria from Mission Together, the children's branch of Missio, the Pope's Charity. Maria spoke to the children about our school patron saint, St Thérèse of Lisieux, and her message of following the 'Little Way'. She explained that we do not need to do extraordinary things to make a difference; instead, we can show God's love through small acts of kindness, love, service and prayer.
We continue to celebrate Little Way Week, with a different focus each day.
Monday – kindness
Tuesday – caring
Wednesday – honesty
Thursday – hope
Friday - faith
We have also entered the Diocesan competition to produce a portrait of St. Teresa and look forward to sharing them all with you. Thank you all for supporting us.

Our grown ups will be very proud when they hear about our practice fire drill this afternoon. We all were safely and calmly outside in under 3 minutes!

Class 8 led a prayerful Celebration of the Word this morning about St Teresa. Each child offered up to God a small act of love and kindness they can do this week so that they can become closer to God and do the little things well like St Teresa. Thank you to everyone who could join us.
