New product recalls: Aptamil and Cow & Gate first infant milk and follow-on milk. This recall contains information for Northern Ireland only.

Danone is recalling several Aptamil and Cow & Gate infant formula and follow-on milk products because cereulide toxin may be present in some batches.

Cereulide can cause rapid onset of nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps. It's unlikely to be destroyed by boiling water or cooking.

Even if your baby seems well, it is essential to stop using affected products. If the formula was prescribed by a health professional, consult a pharmacist or other medical professional before changing formula.

Stay and Play sessions at Darlington Library have restarted after our break over the festive period.

Each Wednesday during term time we will have a range of different activities and resources available for little ones to explore. Pop in 10am-11.30am for free fun suitable for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers.

Yesterday we took our annual trip to The Hullabaloo to enjoy the fabulous show of Christmas Lights (Filskit Theatre). The show was signed as they performed; we sign every day with all children, and it was so lovely for our children to see this in practice. Some of the children were signing back😀. We made away by public transport, thank you Arriva North East for the patience of their drivers (& their passengers) while we safely boarded the bus for our journeys - sometimes our trips out are the children's first journey on a bus and their joy & excitement is such a joy to see & hear - they were excited and just a little bit noisy😆 On our return walk back along to our nursery building, we spotted a police car, our socailable children waved to the policman inside he gave a blast of his blues & two's for the children, and then for kind measure and to make their day, he let them sit in the seat and press the button for the siren and lights - made the childrens day Darlington Police
