Younger Group: Ages 6-14
Older Group: Ages 15-20

Shows are put on every other term for the parents to see how their children are progressing. Also we participate in the Darlington Speech and Drama Festival every year, giving the children an opportunity to compete for trophies. Also the children will have all the opportunities I can possibly get them to auditions for outside theatre companies. I run private drama lessons on the side also for those who are wishing to do their LAMDA exams and receive grades for their education. Also I help my older students with their auditions for Drama College and Universities. We also participate in the yearly productions of Shakespeare which is run by Jo Potter of Green Theatre Company which is held in South Park every summer. Applause is run by Myself, my sister Veca for singing and Michael Taphouse an experienced dance coach. .We all love each and every child that comes into our school and we connect and bond with them on many levels as well as being their teachers. I have been running Applause for over 25 years and students have come out with some brilliant results along the way. Applause Theatre School – Inspiring Confidence, Creativity & Careers

For 25 years, Applause Theatre School has been helping young performers discover their confidence, develop their talents and build brighter futures through the performing arts.

Our classes are designed to be fun, encouraging and inspiring, creating a welcoming environment where students can express themselves, make friends and grow in confidence both on and off the stage. We believe that the skills gained through performing arts — from communication and teamwork to discipline, creativity and self-belief — can benefit students throughout every stage of life.

With fully qualified teachers who have over 45 years of combined experience teaching and working professionally within the industry, our students receive expert training alongside real-world industry knowledge.

Over the years, Applause students have successfully progressed to drama colleges and universities, with many going on to pursue careers across the arts. Numerous former students have also gone on to work professionally in theatre, television and film, while others have built successful careers across a wide range of creative and performing arts professions.

Our aim is not simply to teach students how to perform — it is to give them the confidence, skills and opportunities to achieve stronger futures, whatever path they choose.
