📌WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

This qualification is suitable for:
📍Employees appointed as Emergency First Aiders
📍Workplaces with lower-risk environments requiring first aid provision
📍Individuals preparing to enter employment where emergency first aid training is required
📍The course supports employers in meeting their legal first aid responsibilities under HSE guidance.

🌟IS A PRE REQUISITE TO THE LEVEL 4 QUALIFICATIONS WE OFFER

📌CERTIFICATION & RENEWAL

💫Learners who successfully complete the course receive an Emergency First Aid at Work Certificate, valid for three years.
💫To remain qualified, learners must retake the full one-day course before certification expires, as required by HSE workplace guidance.
💫The HSE also strongly recommends annual refresher training to maintain practical confidence and competence.
📍UCAS Tariff Points
This regulated qualification carries 8 UCAS tariff points, which may support progression into higher education, subject to individual university entry requirements.

Here’s where things stand as of July 2026:

✅ The legal power to introduce regulation has existed since the Health and Care Act 2022, but the detailed rules have taken several years to develop.

Following the 2023 consultation, the Government published its response in 2025 confirming it will introduce a mandatory licensing scheme for practitioners and premises carrying out non-surgical cosmetic procedures in England with a licensing system

📌The Government has confirmed there will be:

* A personal licence for practitioners.
* A premises licence for clinics.
* Different levels of regulation depending on the risk of the procedure.
* Minimum education and competency requirements.
* Inspection and enforcement powers.

💉Treatments will be split into risk categories. The Government intends to classify treatments into:

📍Low risk
* Superficial peels
* Microneedling
* Similar skin treatments

📍Medium risk
* Botulinum toxin
* Dermal fillers
* Other injectable procedures

📍High risk
* Procedures such as liquid Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)
* More invasive non-surgical procedures

The highest-risk procedures are expected to be restricted to appropriately qualified healthcare professionals and, in some cases, only carried out in regulated healthcare settings.

📌Changes that have already happened

✅ Face-to-face prescribing
From 2025, nursing and midwifery prescribers must carry out a face-to-face consultation before prescribing prescription-only medicines such as botulinum toxin for cosmetic use.

✅ Supply of prescription medicines
During 2026, the Government has tightened how prescription-only medicines are supplied for cosmetic treatments.
