And it’s here! Tomorrow is Boarding Rocks, our celebration of bands and the brilliant Rock and Pop musicians found in boarding schools. It has been a real pleasure working with bands from and we can’t wait to see them take to the stage tomorrow! .

We’ve been quiet for a while working on some fantastic collaborations. We’re so excited to announce Boarding Rocks, a battle of the bands competition celebrating the musical talent across schools. In the next few days we’ll be announcing the schools participating! We can’t wait!

We’re thrilled to share that The Band Project is expanding nationwide next year with a brand-new programme of SEND-focused group sessions and peripatetic music lessons for specialist schools.

Over the past few terms, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with the fantastic team at LVS Hassocks in Sussex. Together, we’ve grown to the point where around 50 young people are now enjoying weekly instrument lessons with us — a milestone we are incredibly proud of!

SEND schools are an essential and inspiring part of the rich tapestry that makes up independent education, and we’re incredibly excited to bring our creative, confidence-building music programmes to more young musicians across the country.

SEND – The Band Project All our tutors are Enhanced DBS checked, trained in Safeguarding and SEND (NSPCC), and complete Band Project training focused on our student-led, inclusive approach. Any school-specific training required is completed before lessons begin.

The Band Project provides independent schools a real-world band experience for their young musicians.

Our weekly Band Sessions are the perfect outlet for students to play and perform the rock / pop music they love fully supported by our fantastic team of specialist tutors.

Our Gig In A Day workshops are a fast paced snapshot of The Band Project experience. Pupils spend the day working as a band before performing everything they’ve learnt for friends, parents and staff at the end of day gig.

We also offer Peripatetic Lessons which can cover Rock School grades, ABRSM, student led learning and exam / scholarship / audition support.

The Band Project builds confidence through performance, teamwork through rehearsal and responsibility through practice.

The Band With No Name wheeled out some classic Gnarls Barkley and Green Day!
