🕊️ THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION: WE NEED YOU! 🕊️

Could you help inspire the next generation of young Catholics?

Each year, a huge number of young people from across the Hogarth Partnership prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. It is a wonderful opportunity to help them grow in faith, discover the gifts of the Holy Spirit and deepen their relationship with Christ.

But we need your help! 🙏

We are looking for parishioners from ALL our parishes to join our team of volunteer catechists for the 2026–2027 Confirmation Programme.

Confirmation is not simply a school programme. It is a celebration of faith within the Church, and we want our young people to feel connected to the parish communities to which they belong.

⛪ Could you be part of their journey?

✅ You must have received the Sacrament of Confirmation yourself.

✅ No teaching experience is necessary. Full training, support and resources are provided.

✅ We would love representation from every parish across the Hogarth Partnership.

✅ We are also particularly keen to welcome young people who were confirmed last academic year to return as young catechists, sharing their experiences and inspiring those following in their footsteps.

📅 INTERESTED? COME ALONG!

We are holding an introductory meeting for anyone interested in getting involved.

📆 Wednesday 21 October 2026
🕟 4:30pm
📍 Carmel College, Darlington

This is an opportunity to find out more about the programme, meet others involved and discover how you could make a difference.

Our existing team of dedicated volunteers does a fantastic job, but with so many young people preparing for Confirmation, we would love to welcome more people to this important ministry.

💙 You don’t need to have all the answers. You simply need a willingness to share your faith and walk alongside our young people.

👉 Please register your interest here:
https://forms.office.com/e/db6w2RdSqr

🙏 PLEASE SHARE THIS APPEAL WITH YOUR PARISH COMMUNITIES! We would love to see every parish represented.

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful!

We have absolutely loved getting to know our new Year 12 students over their first few days at Carmel! They have made a brilliant start to Sixth Form life, getting stuck into their new subjects, making new friends and beginning to discover all of the opportunities that lie ahead over the next two years.

Tomorrow evening, we are looking forward to welcoming their parents and carers to Carmel College for our Year 12 Information and Engagement Evening.
It is a chance to meet members of our Sixth Form team, hear more about life in Year 12 and find out how we can work together to support our students as they settle into post-16 study and make the very most of their time with us.
