Alongside practical training, you'll gain the scientific and technical knowledge needed to progress into coaching, leadership, higher education or employment in the outdoor industry.

Many of our students have gone on to work with leading organisations including PGL and Plas Y Brenin, while others have progressed to university or our own Foundation Degree in Outdoor Leadership.

No previous outdoor qualifications are required, although some experience is beneficial. Full training is provided, and you'll have the opportunity to gain additional National Governing Body qualifications throughout the programme.

Each year we are joined by successful students from A-level or Vocational courses, looking for something different to kick-start their career.
They inevitably find our level 3 programmes to be exactly what they needed.

Alexander Adventures is a premium UK adventure travel company delivering professionally led expeditions and adventures across the UK and around the world.

As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for an organised, creative and commercially minded individual to join our team and play an important role in the next stage of our development.

This is a unique opportunity to work across product development, marketing, operations and customer experience within a growing adventure travel business.

The Role

You’ll be involved in:

• Developing and improving adventure itineraries and products.
• Creating engaging website content and destination pages.
• Supporting marketing campaigns and social media.
• Assisting with customer enquiries and quotations.
• Improving booking systems, processes and customer communications.
• Working alongside our IT development team to enhance our website and booking platform.
• Identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience and support business growth.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Has exceptional attention to detail.
• Enjoys creating engaging content and presenting information professionally.
• Has an understanding of websites, social media and digital marketing.
• Is confident using modern technology and AI tools, including ChatGPT.
• Is organised, proactive and enjoys solving problems.
• Wants to contribute to a growing business where ideas and initiative are valued.

The position begins with an initial three-week project, with the opportunity to progress into an ongoing part-time role (approximately two days per week) based from our County Durham office.

• This is not a travel-based role. The position focuses on the business behind the adventures.

Today, I experienced the best of the Outdoor Industry.
at North East Wake Park.
What an incredible venue. Immaculate facilities, manged by a lovely couple John & Judy who have evolved the venue from a windsurfing location to the multi-functional base that it has become.
They are backed up by an awesome (i don't use the term lightly) delivery team, headed by Robbie, with Oliwia, Charlotte and Aaron as support - part of a dedicated, passionate and talented pool of individuals who are a credit to the business!
On top of this, a broken fin on a SUP was swiftly replaced through Sandbanks Style with excellent customer service. Great boards, check them out.
This is why I do what I do, because at it's best, the industry is professional, inspiring and developmental to it's core.
