It was great to welcome BBC Look North to UTC South Durham on A Level Results Day as we celebrated our students, our strong connections with industry and the opportunities our style of education can create.
Our career focused approach gives students the opportunity to develop technical skills, gain real workplace experience and build connections with employers – helping give them the edge when it comes to securing high-quality apprenticeships and starting their careers.
This year, our T Level students achieved a 100% pass rate, with 50% achieving a Distinction – the equivalent of three A grades at A Level.
Two of those students, Neve and Arnaud, have secured apprenticeships and are now taking their next steps into the world of work.
