Big Kids Little Kids We are a nursery and out of school club offering care for children from the ages of 8 weeks to 12 years.

Big Kids Little Kids is a Nursery and out of school club that has been open since 2004. Within our facility we have a Baby room, 2 toddler rooms and a pre - school room. We cater to all dietary and medical needs and all our staff are first aid trained. Our baby room we thrive on giving the children the greatest start to their lives, enabling them to grow and develop to the best of their ability. We aim to provide them with a safe and caring environment, whilst enjoying exploring in the areas around the room.
We work closely with the children’s parents/carers to ensure we provide the best care alongside the babies’ individual routine. Each child is given a key person who they form a close bond, to guide them in their adventures in the baby room.
We offer the free* 30 hours for children the term after they turn 9 month (terms and conditions apply please contact us for more information)

As we are approaching the end of our summer term we thought it would be fitting to have the Ice-cream van as an end of term treat.

Jordan from 'Gwenny's' visited the nursery yesterday and served up some delicious ice-creams and ice lollies 🍦

The smile on the children's faces when they got their ice-cream said it all 😃 It just so happened to be quite a hot day so they definitely helped us cool down 🥵😂🥰

This morning the toddlers went for a visit to 'The Little Harbour'.

'The Little Harbour' is a quiet, welcoming play space with a small café created where children and families can slow down, feel supported, and enjoy a calmer environment.

The toddler room children thoroughly enjoyed their morning at 'The Little Harbour', they really enjoyed exploring the different areas in particular the sensory area.

Thank you to 'The Little Harbour' for having us and we'll hopefully be back again soon.

As you will all know Joe has owned Big Kids Little Kids nursery since it opened its doors over 20 years ago. He has met so many lovely children and their families over the years. Joe has made the difficult decision to move on from his pride and joy and enjoy a well-deserved retirement.
We are sure you will all agree that Joe has been the heart and soul of the Big Kids Little Kids throughout the last 20 years and more. We will all be really sad to see him leave buts it’s time for him to relax and enjoy himself after taking such good care of everyone for so long.
Joes last working day in nursery will be Thursday 2nd April 2026, if you are a parent/carer/child and you would like to pop in to wish Joe luck in his retirement, he will be here until 5.45pm on Thursday.
Our new owners will take over immediately after Joe has finished.

We are really going to miss you Joe!

Within our pre-school room we aim for the children to become more independent and encourage school readiness. The children have the luxury of a large learning environment and access to our indoor garden and mud kitchen.
