This Friday 9 October, we’re saying Hello Yellow to support mental health and wellbeing! 🌟

We’d love everyone to join in by wearing a yellow accessory with your school uniform — whether it’s a yellow ribbon, socks, hair accessory, badge, or something else sunny and bright! 💛

Let’s fill the day with a little more yellow, kindness and positivity, while showing our support for mental health awareness. 🌈

🏃‍♂️🏅 What an achievement for Freddie! 🏅🏃‍♂️

Two weeks ago, Freddie qualified for the Tees Valley Cross Country Finals after finishing in the top 10 runners at the Darlington District competition.

Yesterday, he took on the best runners from across the whole of Tees Valley in the finals — and finished in a fantastic 16th place! 👏🔥

An amazing result and something he should be incredibly proud of. Well done, Freddie! 💪🏆

We’ve had a few questions about the ticket options, so here’s a quick clarification:

🎟️ Concert Only – FREE
If you’d like to enjoy the concert but don’t wish to stay for afternoon tea, your ticket is completely free.

☕ Concert + Afternoon Tea – £10
Enjoy the concert followed by a lovely afternoon tea.

⚠️ Already purchased a £10 ticket?

If you’ve already booked and would now prefer to attend the concert only, that’s absolutely fine! Your entry will be free and we’ll happily arrange a full £10 refund.

If you’re keeping your afternoon tea booking, you don’t need to do anything.

If you’d like to change to Concert Only and request a refund, please email [email protected] by Monday 28 September 2026.

🌾🍂 Harvest Festival – Monday 5th October 🍂🌾

We are delighted to announce that we will be holding our Harvest Festival Assembly on Monday 5th October! 🎉🌽

This year, we will be collecting non-perishable food items for our local Baptist Church, who will turn the donations into food parcels to support families and members of our local community who may be in need. ❤️🤝

🥫 Donations could include:

Tinned foods

Packets of dried or long-life foods

Other non-perishable, long-life goods

📅 Donations can be brought into school on or before Monday 5th October and given to your child’s class teacher.

🙏 Thank you in advance for your generosity and support. Every donation, big or small, can help make a real difference to families in our community. Together, we can make this Harvest Festival a truly meaningful one. 💛🌾

🚗 PARKING INFORMATION

Please be aware that, due to our new school being built, parking on site will be very limited.

Parking will be available for Blue Badge holders only, on a first come, first served basis.

We kindly ask all other visitors to make alternative parking arrangements and, where possible, consider walking or using public transport.

Day 3 and off to Belgium to visit WW1 memorial sites and museums. 🇧🇪

🪖 First stop was Sanctuary Wood, a museum with original trenches. The students got a real idea of what life was like for the soldiers, mostly Canadian, who had been based there.

🏛️ Onto Passendale to their interactive museum to see what impact the war had on people in that area and across Flanders. The students enjoyed learning about the war, trying out the bunks and weaving through the shelters.

🌺 Next onto Tyne Cot Cemetary, one of the largest commonwealth cemetaries and Essex Farm Cemetary. There the youngest soldier of just 15 is buried and the poem “In Flanders Fields" was written, and read aloud to students by our own Captain Roberts. 🌺

🇧🇪 Finally we enjoyed time in Ypres, and a meal out before The Last Post at Menin Gate, which was very moving for many. 🕯️

💙 A long, full day and home tomorrow! 🚌🏠

Day 2 in Normandy, France 🇫🇷 and a trip to Europe’s largest Aquarium in Boulogne-Sur-Mer 🐠🪼🦈🦭 to see everything from Jellyfish, sharks and seals to learning about the oceans around France, beyond and their future. 🌊

🍫 Next stop was the chocolate factory, where students learned, in French with some English, everything from growing cocoa beans to the chocolate moulding process. Lots of chocolate treats for those that could guess the translations of what was being explained! 🍫😋 Bravo les étudiants! 👏🇫🇷

🐌 Finally this evening back at the Château students tried Escargots (snails) with mixed feedback but certainly enjoyed the silent disco even more! 🎧🕺💃 I’ve never heard “Let it go” sung with quite such emotion! ❄️🎶😂
