Sessions can focus on a single subject or several, and I tailor everything to your child’s needs; building on the foundations of and closing gaps in their knowledge, as well as supporting them to become happy and confident learners.

A tutor can give your child a ton of confidence in their abilities that will set them on the right path to bring a strong independent learner as they progress through their education journey. We bolster self-esteem and give them the extra support they need to tackle challenges when they get back into the classroom.

I like to tutor ‘old school’: I don’t use computers, I’m flexible in sessions and challenge my students regardless of the level they’re working at in school, and I plug the gaps in their learning as well as consolidate current learning in school. The only ‘apps’ I use are an interactive clock as it’s a fun way to explore time and occasionally a calculator when we do some huge calculations.

The provision I create for each child is 100% tailored to their individual needs and learning styles. I still have some availability for September starters, and primarily work with year 3 - year 6 of all abilities and across all subjects (especially maths, writing, reading and SPaG).

It’s that time of year where school starts to wind down and a long six week holiday approaches - but that doesn’t mean our brains have to wind down too!

At Frazer’s Tutoring, I’ll be running revision sessions in the final week of August to recap key skills from the previous school year; building your child’s confidence so that when they start in the new year group, new classroom, with a new teacher, they feel confident, happy and ready to learn new concepts. Having those foundations helps children to make connections, understand relationships between concepts, and develop their resilience and stamina for learning.

Covering maths, writing, reading, SPaG, and science, I tailor learning to each individual and provide traditional in-person support. No fancy apps, no screens; each week builds upon prior knowledge, embeds learning and challenges regardless of whether the child is below, expected or beyond the national standard. Because every child deserves to achieve, no matter where they started.
