Small Steps for Safety Campaign Aims to Prevent Childhood Injuries Across County Durham and Darlington :: County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust A new “Small Steps for Safety” campaign is launching today across County Durham and Darlington during Child Safety Week (1–7 June 2026), aiming to help families reduce preventable injuries in young children.

Pre-School Graduation 🎓 End of Summer term 🌞

Yesterday, we celebrated a very special milestone as our wonderful pre-school children graduated and got ready for their exciting next adventure—starting school in September! 🌟

It was a lovely afternoon shared with parents and families, celebrating all the amazing memories, friendships, and achievements made during their time with us.

We are so proud of every single one of our boys and girls and wish them all the very best as they begin this exciting new chapter. Keep shining, keep smiling, and continue being the superstars you all are! ⭐

We are going to miss each and every one of you. Good luck, Class of 2026! 🎓❤️

Special mission

This afternoon, we went on a special mission to deliver a thank you card to the wonderful owners of our Secret Garden. We tried to deliver it quietly, but the lovely lady answered the door. She was delighted to see the boys and girls and was over the moon with the beautiful thank you card they had made.

We also enjoyed one last visit to our Secret Garden for this academic year. The children enjoyed playing hide and seek, cloud watching and doing running races.

Although we're saying goodbye for now, we're already looking forward to returning in the Autumn Term for more adventures together!

Big Breakfast 🥐☕

It was lovely to see so many families join us this morning for our Big Breakfast. It was wonderful to catch up with our families, welcome back some of our former children, and meet the siblings of our current children.

It was lovely it was to see the interactions between the children, parents, grandparents, and staff. It truly was a special morning, filled with smiles, conversation, and a real sense of community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We look forward to hosting another Big Breakfast in the Autumn term! ❤️👏🙌

Our Secret Garden 🌲🌺

This morning, we enjoyed a wonderful walk to the Secret Garden, where the children explored all the nature. They talked about trees, leaves, bark, wildflowers, grasses, butterflies, and bees, using fantastic language and vocabulary throughout.

The children had lots of fun playing the sticky w**d game, singing songs, dancing with the parachute, and taking a quiet moment to listen to the sounds around them. We also practised mindfulness by giving the trees a gentle hug.

A lovely morning of outdoor learning, exploration, and conversation. 😀
