𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 💚

When we discovered the theft on Tuesday, we felt upset, angry, and deeply invaded. We work incredibly hard to create a safe, welcoming haven for every child, so knowing that someone had taken resources intended for them was heartbreaking.

Since then, the Darlaston community has rallied around us in a way we will never forget. Your support helped us locate a suspect, who was subsequently arrested, but more importantly, you reminded us just how much kindness exists within our community.

Nearly £𝟮𝟬𝟬 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗭𝗲𝗳𝗳𝘆, while 𝗞𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗖 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 £𝟮𝟭𝟬. Local families have offered replacement resources, challenged someone attempting to sell our belongings and even bought items back for us. Others have arrived at the nursery carrying generous donations for our garden.

Every message, donation, shared post and act of kindness has meant more than we can express. You have restored our faith in human nature and shown us what it truly means to be part of a community.

UPDATE:- Through the support of The Darlaston community we have had one of the people responsible arrested (We did have to inc a photo as we worked hard for this to happen and do think that we should be recruited by ther police! Although they have been fabulous as well) A local family have taken one of the stolen resources off the other thief and returned it to us. We have been blown away by the comments and offers of support and so have added this link at the communities request

We work hard to create a wonderful environment for the children. To create experiences they may not have at home. To have two people come into the nursery garden and do this is really upsetting. They broke the lock and stole everything gazebo’s (less than two weeks old) paddling pools and toys. If you know who these low life are please let us know.

Its been an amazing academic year and we are extremely proud of all the children who have flourished with us and will be taking their next steps into Reception - we can’t wait to celebrate at Graduation 🎊

With the end of the academic year comes the end of an era for two of our amazing Baby room staff - Sophie leaves us today to spend quality time with her family and we would like to wish her a huge farewell, you will be missed by all the staff, children & parents.

Charlotte leaves us next week, however this isnt a farewell more of a see you soon! Charlotte will be moving over to our sister nursery in Aldridge from the end of July!
Again, Charlotte will be missed by all staff, children & parents - but we know she will be popping in to say hello from time to time!

We wish you both the best of luck with you next chapter 🥰🎉💙
