Daisy room has been busy celebrating Emergency Services Day (999 Day) to show our support and appreciation for the incredible NHS and emergency services! 🚑

The children had a fantastic time exploring our specially themed tuff trays, zooming ambulances and fire engines through their imaginative play. 🚒

Alongside the fun, we had some wonderful discussions all about ‘people who help us’. It’s such a brilliant way for the children to learn about the wider world and the real life heroes in our community. 🌍

All the lovely summer sunshine has worked wonders on our nursery pumpkin and vegetable patches! 🎃

With a little guidance from Nick, our wonderful gardener, the children have been busy learning how to tend to the crops and carefully harvest our home grown veggies. 🥕

Now that they’ve been picked, our talented on-site kitchen team will be turning this magnificent crop into delicious, healthy recipes for the children to enjoy, including some homemade pumpkin pie! 🥧

Our Rainbow Rose room celebrated International Literacy Day with a wonderful mix of stories, language, and creativity! 🌍

After sharing our topic story, The Squirrels Who Squabbled, the children headed outside on an adventure to hunt for pine cones. 🐿️

Next, they let their imaginations run wild, using storyboards to create their very own tales. Thinking about characters, settings, and plots is a fantastic way to nurture a lifelong love of reading and writing! 📖

Ahoy there! 🏴‍☠️ Our Rainbow Rose children have had an action packed month! We worked together to build cork pirate ships to learn about floating/buoyancy , enjoyed some fun pirate yoga, and wound down with a soothing, multi sensory relaxation session with whale sounds. 🐋✨

We also took a mini-adventure to our local river, cooling off in the water and spotting bright blue dragonflies!

Back at the nursery, we used magnifying glasses to inspect our natural treasures and painted beautiful symmetrical butterflies.

Such a wonderful mix of adventure and learning! 🎨🌿

It has been a month of adventure here at nursery as our theme has been all about ‘holidays’! ✈️🚂

The children have had an absolutely fantastic time getting creative, building their very own train and aeroplane to take them on magical journeys. They even made a pretend x-ray machine and their own passports to get ready for their travels! Along the way, we have had some wonderful chats about different climates and what the weather is like all around the world.

It has been so lovely to see their imaginations soar as they explore exciting new destinations together! 🌍☀️

All this glorious sunshine has worked absolute wonders in our garden! ☀️🌻

Over the last few weeks, the children have had so much fun checking on our vegetable patch and watching our sunflowers grow taller and taller. It has been such a wonderful experience for them to observe the progress and learn all about how plants grow and flourish in the warm weather.

We are so proud of our little gardeners and can't wait to see what is ready to harvest soon! 🌱🥕
