This afternoon we had a green wreath making workshop. The theme was make one and gift one. Each made with thought and kindness. Some lucky person will recieve this one with little mushrooms made from birch bark. Why not gather your own natural materials and craft natural decorations to bring winter forest cheer to your home and garden. Be thoughtful and remember to only gather what you need. Enjoy.

What a wonderful festive day creating beautiful decorations from woodland materials in the warmth of the Woodland College Hut in the grounds of Newbattle Abbey College. Thanks to all who came along. Just a few of the beautiful creations from the family activity. The reindeer are a favourite, crafted using wood from Newbattle and traditional tools. Not to miss out parents made their own reindeer too. The green wreaths were very special and will brighten up any door or gate. Enjoy the quiet and peace of the winter woodland.
