💌 Dear Future Me…

This week, we’ve been thinking about where we are now and where we want to be.

Our Letters to Our Future Selves literacy task encouraged the children to reflect on:

✨ What they find tricky
✨ What they want to improve
✨ What they’re proud of
✨ The kind of learner they want to become

A simple activity with a big purpose — helping children take ownership of their learning, set goals and become more confident, active learners. 🌱

Their letters are now sealed away… 🔐

📬 They’ll be opened in the week before the summer holidays.

My online adult BSL class is almost full! 🎉

Over 6 weeks, we’ll explore:
• Greetings & introductions
• Emotions

• Fingerspelling
• Simple conversational skills

How lucky am I?! 💛

A year ago, I opened my door for the very first time as Learn and Grow Homework Club.

Fast forward a year, and today our little club was full of excitement to be back, ready to try new things, challenge ourselves and each other, and be the best learners we can be.

This week is all about settling back into our routines, getting to know our new club buddies and making sure everyone feels safe, comfortable and ready to learn.

We’ve been enjoying lots of social games, challenging thinking activities, personal profiles and word puzzles — all while getting to know one another a little better.

A year in, I honestly feel so lucky to do what I do and to have such wonderful children and families as part of Learn and Grow. 💛

🌟As summer comes to an end, I’m feeling so grateful for every child who joined our Summer Clubs. Fashion, Arts, Space and Science filled our time in club this Summer.

They’ve been filled with laughter, creativity, confidence-building and a real love of learning. It’s been a joy to watch so many amazing young people grow over the holidays.

Now it’s time to look ahead, and I can’t wait to welcome everyone back for our term-time classes in just a few weeks!

We will have a few spaces left in our After School Club on a Monday, Project Based Learning Club on a Thursday and Friday morning and our Study Support Club on a Thursday evening.

Thank you to all the families who continue to support Learn and Grow Homework Club. 🌟
