🌟 NEW AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB 🌟

I'm currently getting a new registered after-school club ready to open in Barry, catering for children aged 3–11 years.

I'm now looking to build my team and am looking for one or two part-time childcare/playwork assistants to join me.

The club will operate Monday–Friday, approximately 3pm–6pm, and I'm open to splitting the week between two people depending on availability. This would include sickness/holiday cover as and when needed.

I'm looking for people who genuinely enjoy working with children, have an interest in the power of play and would like to be involved in helping establish a new club from the beginning. 😊

A Level 2 OR above playwork qualification (or equivalent) would be ideal, or a willingness to work towards one.

Enhanced DBS, paediatric first aid and safeguarding requirements will apply in line with the requirements of the registered service.

✨ Something new is taking shape at Pop Up Play Village Cardiff & Vale…✨

For a while now, I’ve been thinking about how I can take the Pop Up Play Village beyond one-off sessions, parties and events and bring it into schools on a much more regular basis.

I’m currently exploring the idea of running Pop Up Play Village after-school clubs — bringing our immersive role-play village into schools so children can stay, play, create and explore after the school day has finished. 🏡🛒🚒👩‍⚕️

But before I take the next step, I’d really love to hear from parents, carers and school communities.

💭 Where do you think there is a real need for something like this?

Are there schools in Cardiff or the Vale where:

• there isn't currently an after-school club
• existing provision is very limited or fills up quickly
• you'd love your child to have something a little different after school
• there is a real need for more childcare options for working families
• or perhaps you think a Pop Up Play Village club would simply be a fantastic addition to the school?

This wouldn't just be another after-school activity.

The idea is to create a relaxed, child led environment where children can step into different worlds, make up their own stories, play alongside their friends and develop confidence, communication, creativity and independence — all while having a LOT of fun.❤️

And because it's Pop Up Play Village, we bring the village with us — creating an exciting, immersive experience within the school itself that changes and adapts.

Today we had a visit to Windsor Clive Primary School so that Year 4 could explore all of the different things they could be when they grow up. Some of the children came dressed up as Who they aspire to be which was amazing.

We are back!!
And we have a few changes 👀

To celebrate our excitement of the September term we are now extending our sessions by 15 minutes!!
We will now start at 13.00pm and end at 14.30pm giving you an hour and a half to play!

We also have a BRAND NEW Family saver ticket to make it that bit cheaper for larger families 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Also, Don't forget that babies under 1 year are FREE when accompanying a paying child or just £3 without!
